Umami is Japanese for deliciousness. Naturaleeza Farm creates Black Umami through a delicate process of fermentation. Their family heirloom garlic seed is ecologically grown, then cured and carefully fermented. Taking over a year to process, the garlic turns black producing an exquisitely complex and delicious flavour. We can vouch for that at Food Connect - the flavour is to die for! Not a lot is needed and it will transform any dish - use it sauteed with kale, in salads, mashed potato, pasta or whiz it up with olive oil and use as a spread with crostini and bruschetta.
