Lettuce Celery-brate!

Lettuce Celery-brate!

We had a lovely catch up with some of our City Cousins on Tuesday night at Wandering Cooks, our South Brisbane City Cousin (thanks Brett!). They're very special Food Connect customers who volunteer to open their homes or work places once a week to host our deliveries for their local community. They've been with us right from the very start (14 years ago!) and advocate on behalf of customers to ensure things go smoothly. Like, reminding you about that tub of yoghurt you forgot to pick up, or offering to keep your goodies in the fridge if you're running late. They also give customers a free option to access Food Connect other than paying for home delivery.

I was reminded of how passionate they are and how they want nothing but the best for Food Connect and our farmers. Which has given me a lot of hope in the face of the recent election results. We're looking to expand and revitalise our City Cousin network, so if you're keen to find out more, please send me an email here.

I hope you enjoy this week's harvest - t's looking delicious. Take a look at our new arrivals!
