Why we're temporarily using plastic (and how you can opt out)

Hi Food Connectors,
As you know, we do our best to limit unnecessary plastic wherever possible, usually putting our produce in paper or compostable bags. Unfortunately, there's been a major delay in the next delivery of our green compostable box liners.
We looked into filling the gap with other compostable liners but the costs were significantly higher (3-4x), so until the liners get in, we're using plastic, which can be returned with your box for re-use as long as they're clean. Salad mix and small items will still be in the home compostable bags.
If you'd like us to leave it out of your order (and get your produce nekkid as pictured): please just pop a short message in the notes section at checkout, asking for no plastic liner in your next order.
For context, the reasons we use liners at all are to:
🥬 keep leafy greens fresher longer
🥔 stop dirt from any potatoes getting on your other produce
🍠 keep heavier/hardier veg on the bottom of the box, so it doesn't bruise other produce if things move about a bit in transit
This may be in place for 3-4 weeks, but we'll keep you updated! As always, thanks for your understanding and support!
