Hiring: Marketing Coordinator

We're looking for a part-time coordinator to join the family and drive our social media and enews content for Food Connect, the Food Connect Shed and the Food Connect Foundation!

Starting with 1.5 days per week (more available for the right person) you'll spend your time snapping photos of our delicious produce and wonderful people, writing our newsletters and farm updates, getting crafty with social media, and working with our sales managers and marketing lead to support other events, initiatives and long term plans for Food Connect's growth and food systems advocacy. The role is based in our warehouse in Salisbury (The Food Connect Shed!) and is great for a final year student or

What we're looking for:

  • 🍎 Solid writing skills that can adapt to be quirky or serious - the role can see you talking about bum-and-earth friendly toilet paper one minute, and the impacts of floods and government policy on food availability the next.
  • 🍎 An interest in fair food, supporting local economies, social enterprise and change
  • 🍎 A bit of social media experience or strong understanding
  • 🍎 Confidence, flexibility and a strong sense of curiosity to help you sniff out stories and content, and interview farmers and staff
  • 🍎 Strong desire to learn and grow a career in marketing and/or social enterprise.

Highly regarded but not essential:

  • 🍏 A knack for Reels, photography or graphic design
  • 🍏  Prior experience with MailChimp, Canva or Shopify

    What we can offer:

    • 🍓 The next step up in your career (one with long term opportunities), supported by a team of bloody lovely people.
    • 🍓 A fun working environment in our vibrant southside Food Hub
    • 🍓 LOTS of wonderful food (staff get 30% off produce boxes, but there are always lots of fun taste tests going on)
